Packed with powerful antioxidants from green tea leaves, this latte variation delivers a harmonious pairing designed to fuel your day with both balance and flavor.
Ingredients
1 tsp matcha powder
¼ cup hot water
¾ cup milk of choice
¼ cup strong brewed coffee (cooled), or cold brew
Ice
Whipped cream (optional)
Steps
Whisk the Matcha:
In a small bowl, whisk your preferred matcha powder with hot water until smooth and frothy (no clumps!). We recommend any of these ITO EN matcha products.
Fill the Glass:
Add ice to a tall glass and pour in your chilled milk.
Layer the Matcha:
Slowly pour the prepared matcha over the milk for a layered look.
Top with Coffee:
Slowly pour 1 cup of cold brewed or iced coffee over the ice. (We recommend using Dark Roast, Colombian, or Light Roast.)
To make cold brew coffee, combine coarsely ground coffee with cold water using 1 cup grounds to 4 cups water. Let the mixture steep in the fridge for 12 to 18 hours. Strain through a fine mesh or coffee filter.
Stir & Serve:
Stir if desired or add whipped cream for a sweet bold and earthy treat!
